K-Guard vs. LeafFilter Gutters
Key Comparisons
Effective Debris Protection
Clog-Free Maintenance
K-Guard: With its self-cleaning mechanism and debris-blocking hood, K-Guard gutters require minimal maintenance. They significantly reduce the need for regular cleaning and provide hassle-free gutter protection.
LeafFilter: While LeafFilter claims to minimize the need for cleaning, smaller debris can still accumulate on the surface, requiring occasional cleaning to maintain optimal performance. Also requires power washing from time to time to maintain performance.
Durability and Longevity
K-Guard: Constructed from heavy-duty, high-quality aluminum, K-Guard gutters offer exceptional durability and resistance to bending, denting, and warping. They are designed to withstand various weather conditions and provide long-lasting protection for your home.
LeafFilter: LeafFilter utilizes a stainless steel micromesh screen with a durable frame. While the materials used are sturdy, the longevity and durability of the system may not match the robust construction of K-Guard gutters.
Aesthetics and Curb Appeal
K-Guard: K-Guard gutters feature a sleek and seamless design that enhances the aesthetics of your home. The custom-fitted installation ensures a clean, streamlined appearance without visible joints or brackets.
LeafFilter: LeafFilter’s micromesh screen may be visible from the ground, potentially affecting the visual appeal of your home. The appearance may not be as seamless or visually appealing as K-Guard gutters.

I'm really excited to share my amazing experience with K-Guard Gutters – they totally outperformed my previous go-to, Leaffilter. So, let's talk about Leaffilter – yeah, it kept leaves out, but oh boy, the mesh screen caused major icicle issues during winter. I mean, seriously, that mesh just can't handle the cold. Despite solving other problems, those stubborn ice icicles remained. Now, here's where K-Guard Gutters came to the rescue. No joke, after they set up their system, the difference was night and day. Fast forward to the next winter, and guess what? No more icicle hassles! Their smart design truly delivered, and I'm beyond thankful. Big shoutout to K-Guard Gutters for giving me the peace of mind I've been craving.

My experience with K-Guard Gutters has been a real game-changer compared to Leaffilter. The mesh screens I previously had caused me headaches, needing frequent power washing and cleaning. But with K-Guard Gutters, my frustration vanished, and I'm blown away by their effectiveness. Honestly, I wish I could equip Airstreams with K-Guard Gutters – that's how much they've impressed me.

I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience with K-Guard Gutters, a superior choice compared to Leaffilter. Despite being promised maintenance-free performance, my frustration grew after having to clean my Leaffilter gutters. Watching water overflow just three years after installation was disheartening. The ordeal led me to K-Guard, and their installation reassured me that I'd never face gutter maintenance again. Completed in 2020, my K-Guard Gutters proved their efficiency when I called in 2022, concerned they might be clogged. However, upon inspection, everything was perfect. It turns out the water overflow I was seeing was not due to the gutters, but rather from trees. K-Guard Gutters has truly transformed my gutter experience, providing reliability and peace of mind.

Very professional installation and followup to check for problems. They clean up and haul away old stuff. Leaves and debris were not my biggest problem it was birds nesting in the gutters. I have a house vent over the laundry that melts snow in the winter so I had to add heat cable in that area else some big ice drapes formed it that area. It was an easy retrofit. They cost a bit more than some but are larger and very sturdy. They should solve my bird problem permanently. Easy to recommend. Color selection was large to!
What Our Customers Say About Us
I added a roof over my deck and needed 22′ of gutter and a two-story downspout. This, being such a small job, was not of interest to most gutter installation companies I spoke with. Jackson and K-Guard took on the job and managed to complete exactly what I needed exactly when I needed it. The workmanship is excellent and the communication top-notch. Highly recommended.

I am very pleased with the responsiveness, workmanship, and friendly demeaner of all the staff. My gutters leaked and clogged with leaves for decades and within two weeks of calling K-Guard, all those concerns are gone. The day after the gutters were installed there was a torrential downpour. Before the installation, water would have poured over my decrepit gutters like a waterfall. The K-Guard gutters performed perfectly, and I’m very much looking forward to no more “de-leafing” the gutters in the fall.
– Paul S.
My wife and I decided we were too old to be climbing on the roof to clean our gutters, so we contacted K-Guard for an estimate. The sales person was very professional and gave us an excellent presentation and a to-the-penny estimate for replacing our old, decrepit gutters. They scheduled their installation ten days later and we couldn’t be happier. The crew was prompt and did a thorough job, including cleanup. I heartily recommend this vendor.
